March 16: DAY ZERO OF THE APOCALYPSE

This quote is from George Miller’s epic film Mad Max: Fury Road, spoken by one of the War Boys as he launched himself into battle. On March 16, 2020, we have embarked on our own battle as the Global Pandemic/2nd Depression was becoming increasingly obvious that the whole country, and even the whole world, was going into lockdown. That day, I went for a hike with a friend in Santa Cruz's  Pogonip Open Space and up to UC Santa Cruz. From there, and with a commanding view of Monterey Bay, it was also...a lovely day

But it was also a day marking the most significant change in my lifetime because of COVID-19. It was on that day that I decided to start my CoronaVirus Journal...as a way to help ride out the imposed isolation. Which turned out to be more of a political rant and then as a place to document some stories (the links at the top of the page)
